Council for Disability Awareness Announces New Board Chairman

PORTLAND, Maine – Oct. 30, 2007 – Joseph R. Foley, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Unum Group, has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors for The Council for Disability Awareness (CDA).

Foley has been a member of the CDA board since the founding of the council in June 2005. He succeeds Richard L. Mucci, who recently accepted the role of chairman and CEO of New York Life International.

“In just a short period of time, CDA has become a prominent and trusted source for information on disability risk and its financial consequences,” says Foley. “I look forward to working with CDA President Bob Taylor and the board of directors to build on this foundation of education and awareness.”
